they should get rid of HA, and sell emotes, just like they sell everything else.
Example: Deer= $1.99 Wolf= $4.99 Tiger= $6.99 Phoenix= $8.99 Dragon= $12.99, or buy them all for $19.99 Them the problem will be solved, hell sell them and keep HA, most people only play for fame and emotes anyway.

I like all you people that bitch about elitism. I am only rank 1 with 48 fame and I never get in HA groups because I am inexperienced.
People don't want to wait around and lose because some person on their team has no idea what they are doing.
Rank discrimination makes sense if you want to make progress and actually win halls. If you had a higher rank you would understand.
Your best bet is to make friends that do HA a lot. I get invited to HA some times (I decline a lot) by r9+ groups because I have friends that are on that level. I just make sure not to say anything regarding my rank and button my lips up on vent to make sure I don't say anything retarded. Make sure to communicate during games though!

It's actually a product of three things: time invested, personal skill, and the skill of your teammates. Consecutive wins matter, and being bad yourself or having bad teammates will preclude long win strings.
You're correct that you can free ride on teammate skill in an easy slot like E/P Savannah, where lack of personal skill is less likely to impact team success. However, to get to play that easy slot in a good team, you typically have to be a good player in your own right. People didn't get to play the Para for [rawr] in a mAT by being bad; it works the same way in HA.
You can't get past r12 without being in teams that can hold Halls for long stretches. If you're bad, eventually they notice and do something about it.

Do you really think some r10+ team who knows EXACTLY what they're doing can just take silly little unranked pvers? you SERIOUSLY think you'd know what you're doing?
fame shows experience, not skill, pve shows time, not skill. since time means nothing, why pve means nothing, but fame shows experience, people want players who know how to play the game and not some guy in vent goin "hey guise roll necros let's make a discordway!!".

that would be sweet, all the shitters grinding sway would be gone and maybe the people who can actually use basic motor skills to play my guild wars would come back and we'd have a grand old time having fun with a video game (who does that?) without lamers ruining it. some people do play for the love of the game ya know, just probably nobody you've seen around in a little bit. you got a /signed from me buddy, having a tiger isn't that cool anyway.

If a person has no rank and asks how to get into teams they're not good.
If a person has rank and still plays HA, they're not good. If a person didn't get their tiger in 2005, they're not good.

People want higher ranks because they want to win and Ranks show experience and mostly skill (Not always, sometimes people used some lameway to get rank up or people bought accounts or people got the rank 3/4 years ago and they suck now)
So what you can do is join a NO RANK guild. Yes they are out there. I have to admit tho, getting rank up from 0-3 is very anoying. I did it with unranked iway's and other lameway's. And don't miss the double fame weekends. When you are r3, you should try to get a r3+ guild. there are more of those. Now you will mostly get better teams and have a higher chance of winning.

The problem is ignorance and lack of common-sense. While waiting for an UW guild team, I hopped on to HA inter d1; there I saw a guy shouting "glf r8+ r/a" and also started spamming "r/a lfg", along with some other guys, also spamming "r/a lfg". In 1 hour's time, that guy who wanted a r8+ still didn't leave, we were still there. And the problem comes, even if all the r/a's he would've got were bullshit and made him loss, there was a slight chance he might've won some fame points in that hour when he did nothing. Figure it out for yourself

This thread is all kinds of fail, 99.9% rank 3+ don't want to admit they suck too. They where on a team of eight to six other sucky people, fighting against another team of eight to six sucky people ridding on the coat tails of some gimikway build flavor of the month.

Since he is making the team he have the right to pick who he like more, plus im pretty sure he wasn't thinking "I rather wait 1 hour instead of taking that rank 0" but more "well there is the chance that someone will log on".
Before hero (and actually even with hero) i have seen many pve group looking for a last xxx even when there are a lot of others LFGing, you might think this attitude is pvp only but is not.
The truth is that in organized PvP (pretty much HA and GvG) people are very very selective.

It's not an issue of sucking, you don't have to be good as an individual player to be good at HA. More than ever rank discrimination is appropriate due to the high likelihood of skipping to objective maps and HoH where experience matters and one player can easily cause a loss, the group to disband and waste everyone's time.
It may come as a surprise but some people actually do play HA for fun too, but losing generally isn't as fun as winning. Fame is just part of the process.

I could understand wanting r3, but what bothers me is the mentality of parties wanting only people r7+
I think by r3 someone knows what they're doing.

@PvP players. Yes, defend your titles. Afterall, you do have vested interest in doing so. But you do need to admit that starting out in HA was once MUCH, MUCH easier than it is now.
There are two reasons: 1) Because of maturation, the player base has been whittled down so that the percentage of experienced players and the amount of average experience has gone up dramatically, making it harder for newer players to win.
2) HA is dead. 3-4 districts is the peak, compared to 20+ back in the day. It's often takes +30 min, or more, to even just get a group. Seeing groups recruiting for 1-2 hours is actually not uncommon.

rank discrimination is plain stupid....rank DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING(you can easily get r9 by :iway, sway, old rt spike, R-spike,EoE...u can even buy it)..Ppl looking for r9+ ppl are mostly a fail...if u want experienced team, make a guild, make a core team and play with them...its same everywhere in GW..either PvP or PvE -> PUGing is fail
